Prime Minister Ariel Henry's Plane Diverted to Puerto Rico Amid Entry Denial by Dominican Republic
The plane carrying Haiti's Prime Minister, Ariel Henry, landed in Puerto Rico on Tuesday afternoon after the Dominican Republic's government denied entry to its territory.
The information was confirmed by sources from Diario Libre.
The Prime Minister was traveling aboard the North American-registered aircraft N129NS, a Gulfstream IV type, which took off from Teterboro International Airport in New Jersey, United States, at 11:07 AM (Eastern Standard Time), bound for Las Américas International Airport (AILA).
"At 1:55 PM (Eastern Standard Time), the aircraft entered a holding pattern approximately 100 miles north of the Dominican Republic's regional flight information region (FIR). It remained in a holding pattern from 1:55 PM until 2:00 PM. "It landed at 4:06 PM (Eastern Standard Time)," the source said.
